New Born Baby Denisha

In the afternoon of 30th August 2003, I did a checkup. Dr Ang said everything is fine and there are no signs of delivery. So, daddy and I decided to do some shopping at Summit Shopping Mall in USJ. Later in the evening, I felt some contractions but ignored it .. thinking that its just Braxton Hicks. Cousin Barry called us over for durians (yummy). We decided to have dinner there. So, all the way to Cheras we drove. I was still feeling the contractions but bearable. After the dinner, I decided to admit into SJMC. So we went home to bathe and get my hospital bag. We feel excited as well as worried. What if its false alarm!

We reached SJMC at about 12am the next day (31st August 2003). The nurse did some test and put an equipment around my belly to test for the contractions and the baby's heartbeat. After checking, the nurse said I was dilated 2cm. Oh My Gosh! I'm going into labour. I was so nervous but tried to remain calm. Received a call from my sis, Pristina couching me on the breathing exercises. :) Was joking with my mom a few days back when she said she wanted to "nasi lemak" ( a malaysian delicacy cook - rice cook with coconut). Told her jokingly that I won't be able to eat 'cos I'll be delivering during "Merdeka Day" (Malaysia National Day). Haha ... really funny. It's good delivering on that day .. at least our little girl can celebrate her birthday on a holiday.

Luckily the doctor is in the hospital delivering another baby. To speed this up a bit, the nurse did a drip on me. The pain was not so intense in the beginning. As delivery is approaching nearer, the pain got worse. The real pain lasts for about 30 minutes. And finally Little Denisha is born. It's too bad, Mark did not take the full delivery on video. Its such a waste.

We were discharged in the afternoon on the 2nd September 2003. While travelling in the car, the air-con decided to 'konk' out on us. Gosh it was the worse journey ever. Poor princess was sweating .. goodness! Its 12pm where the sun was blazing hot. Had a nanny for the one month confinement.
